Sold out Welcome to Rockville Festival in Jacksonville

With Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie, The Cult and Korn as the headlining bands, it was no wonder Welcome to Rockville festival sold out! The first festival in the World's Loudest Month series was held at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida, over the weekend of April 26th and 27th.

Welcome to Rockville used a four stage set up that allowed multiple bands to play at the same time without interfering with each other. This allowed them to host an impressive array of 44 different bands across the two day span.

Though the doors opened at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, there was a line nearly a quarter mile long that people had been waiting in for hours already. Digital Summer, Gemini Syndrome, World Gone and Cathercist were among the bands that kicked off the festival. Throughout the day, show-goers were able to choose to see performances from Rev Theory, Silvertung, Middle Class Rut, Monster Truck, Adelitas Way, Evergreen Terrace, Chiodos, We As Human, Hell Yeah, Smile Empty Soul, Alter Bridge, Devour The Day, Chevelle, Memphis May Fire, Volbeat, Fozzy, A Day To Remember and We Came As Romans. At 8:20 P.M., the crowd collectively gathered around the East Stage (sponsored by Monster Energy) for The Cult, before migrating to the West Stage for an incredible, pyro filled close to the evening from Avenged Sevenfold.

On Sunday, Within Reason and Ghost of War got the day started around noon. The band lineup following their sets consisted of: The Pretty Reckless, Twelve Foot Ninja, Sick Puppies, Kyng, Black Stone Cherry, Nothing More, Black Label Society, Lacuna Coil, Theory of a Deadman, Butcher Babies, Seether, Emmure, Staind, Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch and Motionless In White. Rob Zombie took the East Stage at 7:35 P.M. and a performance from Korn concluded the weekend.

Additional highlights at the festival included VIP Packages and fans being able to meet the artists and have items signed at a designated F.Y.E. tent. There was also a myriad of eccentric hair styles and colors, costumes (including a unicorn and ninja), exposed breasts and a live snake - certainly not a combination to be missed!

The World's Loudest Month will continue this coming weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina with Carolina Rebellion. Hotel & VIP Packages are sold out and only a small number of camping packages are still available. Weekend and single day passes can be purchased here.
