In addition to playing drums in area bands, Hernandez is also the owner of Tampa Bay Sound and Production which promotes & organizes several events in the area. Through Tampa Bay Sound and Production, Hernandez has worked with the American Cancer Society for the past 2 years as the Entertainment Director for their “Relay for life” concerts. In addition, Hernandez also hosts an ongoing “battle of the bands” event at Quaker Steak & Lube called “Stevo’s Battle of the Bands.”

Formed in 2010 by singer Leslie Brown and guitarist Kenny Brown, Solar Exposure is a five piece, high energy rock & pop/rock cover band that plays a variety of hits from Pink to Van Halen. With the addition of Hernandez to the band, Solar Exposure’s lineup now consists of Leslie Brown (lead vocals & harmonica), Kenny Brown (rhythm/lead guitar & vocals), Abhi “Abhi V” Visuvasam (lead/rhythm guitar & vocals), Mike “Burhhead” Martin (bass & vocals), and Steve Hernandez (drums).

Leslie Brown originally started out singing Karaoke before she realized her calling as a lead singer. Eventually though, she would go on to start sitting in with several area bands. Brown lists her influences as being Steve Perry, Pink, Dolly Parton, and Pat Benatar among many others.

With having a background in both rock and country, Kenny Brown is a Florida native who got his start playing in garage bands back in the 80's.

Abhi Visuvasam started training on piano when he was 8 years old. Once he turned 14 he decided to learn the guitar. Visuvasam played in many hard rock bands in the New York & New Jersey area before relocating to the Tampa Bay area.

Originally from Manhattan and cousin to famed singer Tony Orlando, Mike Martin has been playing bass for the past 37 years. Martin had played with Hernandez in the past, making for an easy transition into the band for Hernandez.
