The video of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z in an elevator has gone viral and now the Standard Hotel is hunting down the person who released this video. This leak breaches the confidentiality clause of the hotel, which their employees are well aware of. The video shows Beyonce, Solange, Jay Z and a body guard in a hotel elevator in New York City when Jay Z is attacked by his sister-in-law. Solange goes postal on the rapper, kicking punching and screaming at him in a very unladylike way!
According to “Fox and Friends” live on Tuesday May 13, this video should have never been made public and it sounds as if someone will be called on the carpet for doing this, once the culprit is found. ABC News reports on May 12 that the hotel released a statement claiming to "discipline" and "prosecute" the person who did this. Their statement is right to the point and their embarrassment from this incident shows up clearly between the lines.
They are investigating the incident with the “utmost urgency,” the hotel reports in their statement. Celebrities need to feel a since of privacy when checking into the posh hotels in NYC. This leaked video doesn't look good for their security, which is an important piece for celebrities when booking accommodations.
Since the city has an ample choice of places to stay and hold gala affairs, this video being released doesn’t fare well for the Standard Hotel. Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange attended the Met Gala after-party at the hotel, which is why Jay Z is in a white tux and Beyonce and her sister are dressed elegantly for the occasion.
The pictures taken of the trio as they came out of the elevator post-rumble don’t offer a hint of angst coming from Beyonce or Jay Z. TMZ reports that Solange “looks pissed," as you can see from the picture above.
When the trio left the after-party, Beyonce and Solange went in one car and Jay Z left in another car. TMZ also reports that during the attack, Jay Z is seen hitting the emergency stop button on the elevator a few times. This was done to “presumably to keep the fight private.” At one point Solange smacks Jay Z with her purse, spilling its contents all over the elevator floor. What a family feud!
Beyonce and Jay Z were out Monday night sitting court-side at the Brooklyn Nets game. Jay Z never looked any worse for wear after the elevator rumble, according to “Fox and Friends.” The couple didn’t mentioned a thing about the incident and appeared happy as ever.
As you can see in the video above, Solange, Jay Z and Beyonce are on the elevator and the only other person with them is their body guard. Solange lets loose on Jay Z, punching and kicking him. Beyonce tries to get in between the two to stop the attack, but that didn’t work.
It was the body guard who contained Solange in a bear hug-like hold, but she was so feisty, she slipped away from his grip a few times. Neither Jay Z nor Beyoncé fought back, their only moves were defensive moves trying to keep Solange from landing a punch or a kick.
The reps for Jay Z, Beyonce or Solange have not said a thing about this incident. The Standard Hotel released a statement which included:
"We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests," the statement reads. "We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
The reason for the rumble is still a mystery. No one seems to know what Jay Z did or said to get his sister-in-law's feathers ruffled to the point of violence. She looked as if she was violently attempting to take her sister's husband down in that elevator video.
