Solange, Jay Z Twitter pages silent about fight as #WhatJayZSaidToSolange trends

Jay Z and Solange Knowles’ official Twitter pages have no mention of the fight that was captured on video and has set the online world ablaze on May 12, but that hasn’t stopped the Twitter world from speculating about the cause of the argument between the duo that has sent the #WhatJayZSaidToSolange hashtag surging up the Twitter trending topics list.

The 58-second long video was originally released by TMZ.com, and appears to show Solange attacking her 44-year-old brother-in-law Jay Z, famous husband of Beyonce, in an elevator at the Met Gala during an after-party on May 5 while the superstar singer stands back, away from the melee.

It’s apparent that 27-year-old Solange, a musician in her own right, didn’t think about the elevator camera being on and active as she seems to kick at Jay Z as he backs into a corner and attempts to prevent getting hurt by holding Solange’s feet from a hailstorm of kicks. There is no audio with the popular video, however, that hasn’t prevented fans from putting their own spin on the Solange vs. Jay Z fight.

Most people presume that Jay Z was attacked by his wife's sister due to Solange’s lackluster singing career in comparison to the meteoric rise of Beyonce and her husband. Either way, the incident that occurred in New York last Monday is making that surveillance camera video one that has gone viral.

The 44-year-old Jay Z’s Twitter account, which is named “Mr. Carter,” doesn’t yet address the Solange fight at this time, with his last tweet reading, “Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series.”

As far as Solange making any comment about the heated elevator exchange that caused another man in the elevator to hold her back inside the Standard Hotel in New York City, there is none as well as of this writing. However, the tweets purporting to answer questions to why Solange fought with Jay Z continue to roll into the social media website.
