A strong disturbance from the southern plains will push toward the Great Lakes late Saturday and into Sunday. A surge of warm air ahead of the storm will push temperatures into the 40s today and Sunday. Rain arrives this evening and continues on Sunday. The rain combined with the melting snow may cause ponding on the area roads and rises on the rivers.
Behind the front, cool air returns with a mix of rain and snow for the first part of next week.
