A just released Infographic from JobAware for the “Hottest Job Sectors of 2013” that includes a breakdown of leading job sectors and cities for jobs has found that Software is currently the “hottest job sector” while San Francisco, California is the “hottest city” for software jobs.
The Infographic from JobAware – currently the top rated free job search App for iPhone and iPad that allows users to search, track, and save jobs – found that Software heads the list of top jobs sectors with a 21 percent share. Software was followed in the list by Healthcare (19 percent), Retail (17 percent), Security (14 percent), Financial, Government, Manufacturing (all 7 percent), and the Arts (4 percent).
Along with being named the hottest city for software, San Francisco has 39 percent more jobs than unemployed people to fill them according to job listings in February 2013. By comparison, Los Angeles, California has 1500 percent more unemployed than San Francisco with only 33 percent more job listings.
However, the so-called “Texas Triangle” – comprised of the Lone Star state cities of Houston, Dallas, and Austin – had two times more job listings than Northern California so far in 2013, 88,000 listings to 43,000 job listings.
