For the last two weeks, everyone heard of the 16 day government shutdown and its affects on people sent home for being furloughed. Obamacare still took effect on October 1 in spite of the push to delay it. Being unable to write articles all this time because of malicious software like the unfriend checker tool on Facebook only allowed me on my wall and slowed down my computer to the point of crashing like the Healthcare.gov site.
KAUZ News Channel 6 had kept up with developments during and after the shutdown and its affects locally as well as The 700 Club. Yesterday, KAUZ News Channel 6 reported that the people responsible for Obamacare website not working was because they rushed to combine at least 5 programs in order to run the site. Well they all butted heads asking and not accepting personal information after many duplications. The 700 Club reported today during its news segment, that the purpose of Obamacare was to insure the young and healthy uninsured not necessarily the elderly and sick, who signed up for Obamacare so far.
Like my computer, running my antivirus, Microsoft Security Essentials, uncovered the malicious software above, but using a malware detection program from Microsoft only told me there were four infected programs on my computer but never said where or what was infected. Obviously, it was not malicious enough to raise the alarm.
Proverbs 15:1 (KJV) said:
15 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
The government shutdown was by executive order, and was made to hurt people. Now that the government has reopened, there was some concern that this was a six week band aide. According to the October 16 article in The Times Record News, the bipartisan agreement reopened the government until January 15, 2013 and allowed the borrowing of money until February 7. In Texas Republican Senator Mac Thornberry’s October 5 newsletter, there were supposed bills to curtail all these closings if there were another government shutdown. There might be another if the two sides could not agree on a solution.
Now that the website mentioned above did not work, developers were pointing fingers at one another like in the house and senate when they couldn’t agree how to reopen the government. According to CBS Nightly News today there were at least three other ways to sign up for this. As for my computer problems, it might have been my fault that the malware on my computer was there. By admitting this, there was no reason for my arguing with Best Buy’s Geek Squad over the cause.
