The new year is already starting off in big ways for so many people, but Sofia Vergara and fiance Nick Loeb wish that it had started differently. US Weekly reported that the couple was celebrating at Miami's Story on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, when Loeb got into a bit of a scuffle with some of the party-goers at the new club.
Vergara and Loeb were celebrating in style at the party which was hosted by the "Modern Family" actress' ex-boyfriend, Chris Paciello. Page Six of The New York Post that after a while, Loeb and Vergara were arguing before someone at a nearby table joined the fray.
"Nick seemed tense around Chris, who was hosting them in the VIP section, even though he and Sofia are just friends. In the early hours, Nick and Sofia were arguing before he got into a dispute with somebody at a neighboring table. Some pushing and shoving started," a witness told the newspaper. "Sofia stepped in to try to calm the situation, but somehow she ended up getting pushed and shoved also. Her strapless [Mason by Michelle Mason] dress was torn or pulled down in the melee, exposing her cleavage in front of other people."
It is also being reported that Vergara's 20-year-old son Manolo "was so offended he left the club."
A source went on to say that "Nick (Loeb) was pulled away from Sofia and those at the next table by security guards, who dragged him out of the VIP section and threw him out of the club. Sofia followed him."
Vergara was never injured or hit in the fight, but Loeb appeared to be "pretty bruised from struggling with security." It is said that none of what happened can be blamed on Vergara and it was just some heated words turning into more between party-goers.
No comment was given by the representatives of anyone involved.
