Sofia Vergara’s fiancé, Nick Loeb, got the New Year off to a heated start with his TV star girlfriend. Reportedly, he was thrown out of club for a fight with the sultry "Modern Family" star in Miami during the wee hours of the first day of 2013.
A report on Jan. 1 from NY Post's Page Six notes that Loeb and Vergara got into a serious argument in the VIP section of Story, a Miami Beach club. Witnesses reported "some pushing and shoving" went on as part of the fight. Apparently, it all started over a friendly photo op Vergara engaged in with a fan.
According to NY Post, a witness said:
"Nick appeared to get really angry after Sofia took a picture with a stranger, and started screaming at her. Nick had to be pulled off Sofia by security. Her dress got torn in the melee. This happened right in front of everyone in the VIP section.
Four security guards grabbed Nick and threw him out of the back door of the club, with Sofia following behind."
The brawl apparently happened in the presence of Vergara's family, including her son Manolo. They had all been out celebrating New Year's Eve at the Miami Beach club. This was after the couple partook in the countdown to 2013 at Delano Hotel and even enjoyed a midnight kiss as part of the celebration. Sofia was recently seen over the Christmas holiday enjoying one of Miami's beaches in a sexy swimsuit as part of a vacation with her family.
Vergara, who was married from 1991 to 1993 to Joe Gonzalez, currently stars on ABC's hit TV sitcom, "Modern Family." So far there has been no comments given by either of Vergara's or Loeb's reps. The two have been engaged since July, and it sounds like there may be a thing or two to resolve in the new year.
