While it's perhaps an unlikely pair, beloved actress Sofia Vergara and casual Italian dining chain beloved from Florida to New York Buca di Beppo are teaming up to help St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in the most delicious of ways.
The concept is simple - for every classic, savory and delicious meatball served at the national eateries, $1 will go directly to the fantastic hospital to help support its efforts in curing pediatric cancer and other fatal illnesses. Gloria - err, Sofia - has long-since been a spokesperson of the hospital (and, we've now learned, the family-style restaurant conglomerate) and is thrilled at the donation agreement that's been set up.
"It means so much to me that one of my favorite restaurants is supporting a cause so dear to me," she said.
And the best part is, it's easy to partake - just buy yourself some hearty meatballs from one of Buca's 97 locations across the country, and you can take pride in knowing that you're helping a sick child fight back. And if those meatballs are good enough for America's sultry sweetheart, they're certainly good enough for the average citizen, right?
