The news and rumors of the Sofia Vergara illness is buzzing the Internet on Monday.
The Modern Family star had to miss Sunday’s Oscars because she had the flu, the New York Post reported Monday.
There were reports that Vergara was hospitalized. A source told the Post,
“She came down with a nasty case of flu and had to cancel all plans for Oscar weekend.”
The source added that Colombian beauty was recovering at home in Los Angeles, not in a hospital.
Paparazzi photos showed that Vergara showed no sign of being ill when she was seen with her fiancé, Nick Loeb, at Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood on Friday.
The First Coast News addressed the rumors that Vergara’s illness was more serious writing, “Sofia Vergara has dismissed rumors she skipped the Oscars to undergo surgery, insisting she's at home ill with the flu.”
Sofia Vergara skyrocketed to stardom when the show launched on ABC in September 2009. Her loyal fans have expressed concern in the blogosphere over her illness.
