SOE lifting several restrictions to Everquest, Everquest 2 free players (Photos)

Free and Silver members playing Everquest and Everquest 2 can soon enjoy a number of aspects of their favorite games that were previously restricted. Free and Silver players will still have less access to the games versus a Gold subscriber; however, more access is always a great addition.

Starting this week, Free and Silver players can play all classes and all races. No original class or race is restricted by subscriber status or Station Cash purchase. The Everquest 2 Beastlord class and the Everquest 2 Freeblood race are not available to Free and Silver players. The Beastlord must be purchased with the Age of Discovery expansion and the Freeblood may be purchased in the Marketplace.

Moreover, all bag slots are unlocked and these players can use the shared bank slots. Not to mention, the quest journal restrictions are completely gone. These are huge quality of life improvements that will make these games much more enjoyable for Free and Silver players.
