Social media has taken the world by storm in the past couple of years with sites popping up left and right. Today, people seem to not have an issue with putting events on a Facebook timeline ranging from drama to starting a family. Since Facebook is widely used with millions of people, it might be wise to watch what is said on social media sites. It can keep you from getting your dream job to losing a case. Unfortunately, a teen had to find out the hard by costing her dad 80 thousand dollars. Her post which said “Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe. SUCK IT.” It probably would not be an issues if Gulliver had actually paid the settlement, but instead they said the Snay broke the confidentiality agreement. The courts agreed.

As it goes for social media updates. It is the place to go to release frustration and anger toward someone, but again, it is not the safest place to do so. Think twice before you update, review, and try to keep it PG. This in anyway is not telling you what to write. It is your social media site to write whatever you please. It may just cost you big money in the long run.
