Everywhere is a person on a social media site. Hardly does anybody talk to face to face when waiting for class to begin, or waiting for a bus. It is changing the way we go about communicating with people. Some people are perfectly okay with social media because it builds a wall of protection from the emotional feelings about certain things. Some people just do not have the time to hang out, or converse.
There is nothing wrong with how you go about choosing to communicate with people. People tend to find other people in common much more easily and it helps communicate with people across the globe. It can be used as a great resource to even broaden a language. That is if one has a friend from a different country. Social media may be changing the way we communicate, but it could have some down falls. It makes it easier for people to feel left out. "Out of Sight, out of mind" can be referenced here because if one were to not see those things, how would they know they are happening? It is all about personal preference.
