Social goods fundraising website helps animal rescue groups

An internet entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in the e-commerce industry wanted to come up with a way to combine her marketing and web skills with her passion for animals. Her dream led to the launch of CharityPaws, a premier fundraising experience for registered 501(c)(3) animal rescue groups.

Jill Caren, the woman behind the dream, had this to say in her recent press release:

“Animal groups are struggling with finances and time, there is just never enough to care for the animals and get the exposure and funds they need. I did not realize just how many challenges animal groups faced until I started volunteering several years ago for a few shelters and found the obstacles to be never ending. I have been contemplating for years how I can take my experience and my passion and make a career out of giving back - and so CharityPaws was formed.”

Here’s how the fundraiser works. CharityPaws will market, support and fundraise for one registered 501(c)(3) animal group each week. The designers at CharityPaws will create unique charity T-shirts. For every shirt sold, the charity will receive $10.

There will also be a few select lines of artisan created products and fair trade items. Every item will have a set amount that will be donated back to the charity of the week for each sale that is made.

“We wanted to be as generous as possible with our partners while we still maintain enough income to cover our costs and salaries for our employees.” Caren added in her press release. “Our goal is to give back as much as we can to those that need it the most - the animals.”

With the launch of CharityPaws, the company has partnered with HeARTs Speak as their first partner charity. HeARTs Speak, Inc. unites and supports artists who provide their talents to animal welfare organizations and the communities they serve.

On the first day of the website being launched, $420 was raised for HeARTs Speak through the combined efforts of the group and CharityPaws in marketing their campaign.

At the campaign’s end, it was announced today CharityPaws will be donating a total of $1,040 to HeARTs Speak. In addition, another $1,040 will be sent to Ziggy's Haven Bird Sanctuary, Inc. as their donation match winners.

CharityPaws is owned by 2 Dogs Media, LLC. The mission is to help those that need it the most, the animals. Visit the CharityPaws website to learn more.
