Pregame analysis: With Machida's third place to Brown's fourth place in the men's free skate, it will be next to impossible for Team Japan to catch Team USA now, and solely because of dance. Even if Suzuki finishes first and Gold finishes fifth in the free skate, Japan would have a lead of just one point going into the free dance. And there is no way that Davis/White will finish so low relative to Reed/Reed that the one-point difference holds up.

So there you go - the medals have been decided. Russia gold, Canada silver, USA bronze.
