The Sochi 2014 Olympic Men’s Hockey schedule is heading towards the Medal rounds. Finally the good stuff is right around the corner! After tomorrow’s (Tuesday) Qualification games, the bracket for the Quarterfinals will be set, and by this upcoming weekend we will know who will be battling for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.
According to a Yahoo Sports report on Feb. 16, there will be four games tomorrow, Feb. 18, with the winners moving on to the quarterfinals. The biggest game on the schedule is definitely Russia vs. Norway.
The host Russian team came into the hockey tournament as the team to beat according to Vegas odds makers, but with a loss tomorrow, they will be eliminated from play.
That will not sit well with fans in Russia.
Norway on the other hand could shock the Olympic hockey world with a win over the Russian squad as the Norwegian team came into the Olympics at 200/1 to win the Gold Medal. Just moving on to compete for a shot at a Medal with a win over Russia tomorrow would be a lot more than experts predicted from the Norway team.
Slovenia vs. Austria will get the action started tomorrow morning bright and early with the puck dropping just minutes after 3:00 a.m. EST here in the US. The big match-up between Russia and Norway is set to start at 7:30 a.m. EST.
