The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics live stream and televised coverage of Men's Ice Hockey takes the spotlight for Team USA as they take on host country, Team Russia in the second of their games on the ice. The United States is coming off a rout against Slovakia in their first game, and will look to build upon that momentum as they play the Russian team. The latest TV and live stream Winter Olympics coverage arrives for U.S. viewers on Saturday morning via NBC sports networks.

According to a Yahoo! Sports report from Feb. 14, Team USA coach Dan Bylsma is ready for a great matchup as his team, comprised of NHL players takes on a team made up of much the same. Bylsma, who currently coaches NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins told the media with regards to this upcoming game, that he expects:

"A special game. Playing the Russians in their own building, I don't know if we are going to have seen a building in a place like the one we are going to see tomorrow here. The Russian country is going to be packed in and behind their team."

Bylsma added praise for the opponents, saying:

"They have extraordinary skill and talent, Malkin and Ovechkin and Datsyuk, Semin and Kovalchuk. They have extraordinary skill, elite skill, and that's something we have to be keenly aware of and know about their team."

The game will take place at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Russia, which holds just over 12,000 fans. Most will be cheering for Team Russia, and even though this game is a preliminary matchup, it could shape how things go if the teams meet again when it counts. The bronze and gold medal games are a week away, so both teams know setting the tone in this game, could give them an advantage throughout the remainder of their schedule.

As of this report, the United States was in a virtual tie with Norway for first in the medal standings. Both teams have a total of 13, with 4 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals. The Russians are third with twelve medals, right behind the Netherlands. Both teams realize they could pick up yet another medal through this sport, thanks to the many pro stars each boast on their roster. Team USA fell short in 2010 in Vancouver, losing the gold medal to host country Canada.

Team USA enters this game off their lopsided victory over Slovakia 7-1 this past Thursday. Six of the team's goals came in the second period with Paul Statsny scoring two of those and Patrick Kane assisting on two of the goals. Others were scored by Ryan Kesler, David Backes, Phil Kessel and Dustin Brown, while U.S. goalie Jonathan Quick had 22 saves in the game.

Russia also won their first preliminary game, besting Slovenia 5-2 on Thursday. Alex Ovechin, Evgeni Malkin and Ilya Kovalchuk were among those who scored for the Russians, while goalie Semyon Varlamov stopped 12 of 14 shots by Slovenia. Team Slovenia will be the United States' next opponent on Sunday morning in another preliminary matchup.

In terms of odds, the Odds Shark site has Team USA as the underdog at +115, with the Russians at -140 to make the host country team slight favorites. The over/under is set at 5 1/2 goals for the game, with the over priced a bit higher than taking the under.

Saturday morning's matchup featuring Team USA vs. Team Russia for men's ice hockey, has a scheduled start time of 7:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. United States viewers can watch the game live on TV on the NBCSN channel on cable or satellite providers. Additionally, there will be a live stream online feed for the game through the NBC Olympics Live Extra site. This special live streaming Olympics site is accessible by viewers who log in with their cable or satellite account credentials. Other viewers without cable or satellite TV will have to wait for a replay on TV, or keep updated through live score info on ESPN.com website.
