Soaring crane qigong classes

Dr. Tony Murczek

Note: date change on classes at Providence Portland Medical Center. Classes begin Friday, January 15, 2010. Same time, 11:a.m. to 12:30 p.m. See below for registration information. No change at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center class location.

Soaring crane qigong is most likely the most prominent medical qigong form ever. Its thirty million or so practitioners have established a worldwide influence. Even so, everybody begins at Level I, preferably with a certified teacher and with other Soaring Crane Qigong students. (Group qi offers its own benefit.) No special equipment is needed, though an open mind helps. Dress comfortably. Leave the watch off. Smile. It helps qi flow.

Why consider learning Soaring Crane Qigong? Ho. Only consider learning this qigong form if you are:
1.) Free from major mental disorder;
2.) Interested in maintaining health or curing and/or moderating any pesky-to-difficult disease states;
3.) Committed to developing physically, spiritually, emotionally or intellectually through use of thoughtful, gentle physical movements and/or visualizations. Please review previous article for further insight.

Dr. Murczek, certified Soaring Crane Qigong teacher said, “It just flat out works.” Murczek added, “And perhaps there’s more need today, since our environment is not getting less toxic or lives getting less stressful.”

Tony Murczek, BS/Health Education, M.Ac.O.M., ND, LAc., is a Soaring Crane Qigong teacher certified by esteemed Professor Huixian Chen. And, if you’re confounded by the letter array tagging along behind Murczek’s name, it suggests his educational background embraces physical science, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, and naturopathic medicine. Currently he’s adding Applied Kinesiology to this healing inventory. Murczek is also a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer.

Pine, Plum and Cranes, 1759, by Shen Quan

Re: Dr. Murczek’s experience teaching qigong for more than ten years. When asked about the most extraordinary event Dr. Murczek’s witnessed he replied, “The first thing that comes to mind is the people who have been practicing Soaring Crane Qigong all along have improved and reversed some of the damage experienced by disease. To work with people like that … that is the miracle.”

A Soaring Crane Qigong teacher may begin by introducing a simple Liver Cleansing routine. This is to relieve the liver of toxins it no longer needs, e.g., any of them. The ideal situation for performing this liver cleansing is while standing next to a tree. The tree absorbs the toxins and thrives, kind of like adding compost. However, wood of any kind can be used indoors.

By the time a student completes Level I training, he/she will be familiar with two remedy routines and the Five Routines. A Soaring Crane practitioner may also have heightened appreciation and insight into the beauty offered in a Red-Crowned Crane’s movements. The practitioner will also most likely feel much better in several (perhaps) unexpected ways.
