Dallas is one of five cities the hit reality talent competition will travel to, as they look for dancers "skilled in everything from ballet, breaking, krumping and salsa to swing, tap and contemporary jazz."

Dallas auditions will take place Friday, January 13th at McFarlin Auditorium (6405 Boaz Lane) on the campus of SMU. Registration opens at 8am. Auditions will commence in Atlanta on January 5th and following Dallas, SYTYCD will travel to New York City on January 23rd, Salt Lake City on February 23rd and Los Angeles on March 2nd. Those traveling to cities for the auditions should make arrangements to stay for at least two days following their initial audition in the event of a callback.

“For the past eight seasons, So You Think You Can Dance has been a huge part of our success." Said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment for FOX. "We are excited to bring the series and an incredible set of new dancers back for another fantastic season.”

Last season's winner, Melanie Moore, danced off with a $250,000 cash prize, a cover feature in Dance Spirit Magazine and other awards, while other finalists have gone on to be featured on Broadway shows.

Details about auditions can be found at www.fox.com/dance or on the SYTYCD Facebook page.
