'So You Think You Can Dance' recap: the return of Billy Bell (photos)

Last week on "So You Think You Can Dance", the injured Billy Bell (and everyone else) received a reprieve from the judges when it was announced that they would all be safe for another week. While this means that two people will be going home this time around, it certainly did Billy wonders as he surged to the top.

Adechike Torbert: Outside of Billy (and to an extent Lauren), the big problem with tonight is that no one really managed to stand out much in the crowd.

Adechike's best routine came earlier in the night with a smoky jazz number with Courtney -- he ballroom piece with Lauren was entertaining, but it really didn't have any "wow" to it.

Billy Bell: These were arguably the two best performances by Billy all season, and they just so happened to come during the same night. First, he had a spectacular contemporary routine set to "Mad World" -- can anyone really do this song wrong? It was a great "Gears of War" commercial, Adam Lambert did a great version of it on "American Idol", and now Billy has done a great dance to it.

There was also a stellar Bollywood in here with Robert -- even though Mr. Roldan may look the part more, Billy did equally a fine job.

Jose Ruiz: This could be the week Jose says goodbye. If this was a b-boy competition, he would take home the title over anyone -- he may be better at his signature style than anyone else on the show.

Unfortunately, Jose simply isn't as refined as anyone else on the show. Kent largely overshadowed him in their Broadway routine, and his hip-hop was one of the biggest disappointments of the season thus far.

Kent Boyd: You have to love Kent -- hundreds of screaming girls in the crowd can't be wrong, right? This week did show once again what Kent is all about -- he doesn't always have the flashiest routines in the competition, but he is consistent, strong, and definitely has a large enough fan base to win the whole thing.

Lauren Froderman: In the same vein you could talk about Lauren: The last remaining female has the potential to go all the way, even if her dance with Allison was simply great and not spectacular. Most of everyone still should remember her stellar hip-hop routine from last week, and that should keep her around.

Robert Roldan: Robert is once again a wild card, since he has been really stellar while still facing trouble with the viewer vote. His first routine tonight was designed to mimic a soldier going to war, but you really couldn't get too much of that away from the lifts. It was a moving piece, but it may still not be enough to keep him around.

The Bollywood, however, may be a different story.

Who do you think will be sticking around in the competition? Based on the performances (and voting history), it looks like this could be the last week for Jose and Robert. You can also check out some new photos below.

The Jose/Comfort hiphop was horrible, but that's not the dancers fault. They were only working with the choreography they were given... and it wasn't good. AT ALL. And I'm a fan of Jose/Comfort!
