Last night on “So You Think You Can Dance” the top eight performers danced to routines based on a Michael Jackson's music, and the dancers also performed solos on their preferred genres that won them a place in the competition.

First up was Ricky with all-star Jaime in a Contemporary routine choreographed by Travis Wall and the song was “Smile”, and Ricky once again left everyone in awe with his fluent and flawless dancing that every week improves from the previous, viewers are witnessing greatness augmenting exponentially. Valerie was next with all-star Ryan in a Zamba routine choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux and the song was “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin” and the dancing was outstanding, exciting, and exhilarating, Valerie looked gorgeous and sexy in a routine that was demanding and she delivered without question. Casey was next with all-star Comfort in a Hip-Hop routine under the guidance of Christopher “Pharsioe” Jennings and Crystal “Phoenix” Meraz, and the song was “Xscape” Casey was slow at first, but as the number progressed he became comfortable and wound up with a performance worthy of being presented on this show where excellence is delivered on a regular basis. Tanisha was next with all-star Nick performing a Contemporary routine choreographed by Stacey Tookey and the song was “She’s Out Of My Life”, the dancing was heartfelt, romantic, and moving Tanisha is outstanding and every week regardless of the routine always delivers a seamless performance. Rudy followed with all-star Allison in a Contemporary routine choreographed by Ray Leeper and the song was “Dirty Diana” and the performance was fascinating, powerful, and violent from a woman whose love and desire is unrequited. Then it was Zack’s turn with all-star Makenzie in a Broadway routine created by Spencer Liff and the song was “The Way You Make Me Feel”, outstanding dancing with elegance and finesse. Next up was Jacque with all-star Twitch, in a Hip-Hop routine choreographed by Dave Scott and the song was “Slave To The Rhythm”, and she was down with the dancing, even though her forte is ballet. Jessica was next with all-star Will in a Contemporary routine under the guidance of Mandy Moore and the song was “Earth Song” the grace and beauty of the dancing was mesmerizing, outstanding in all aspects.

The bottom four dancers based on last week’s votes were Casey, Tanisha, Rudy, and Jacque, and unfortunately one guy and one girl would be going home, and these were Tanisha and Rudy, and it was disappointing because Rudy is such a character along with being a fascinating dancer, and Tanisha wow, she is outstanding as well, but this was just a bump on their road to success, the best of wishes to Rudy and Tanisha. Recaps, episodes and information on the dancers can be found online at

“So You Think You Can Dance” runs on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
