After it was written about Monday here, Philadelphia's Democrat Mayor Michael Nutter stole the headline from this linked article and echoed it's words: It's time to drop DROP.

A day after we found out the idiocy of Philly school super Arlene Ackerman's payment plan, a Boston College report has now surfaced that DROP has cost Philadelphia residents $258 million - about $22 million a year - since 1999. All of the sudden the guy who wants to tax our soda and raise property taxes while making rolling cuts to firehouses is on board with ending spending?

Nutter released a press statement on Facebook - frigging FACEBOOK - yesterday afternoon - since you can't release statements like this on MySpace, where most of his supporters are, and he said:

"The release of this report should clear up any misunderstandings regarding the cost of the DROP program to Philadelphia taxpayers. Having cost the City $258 million since 1999, DROP is not cost neutral, and we cannot afford it." said Mayor Nutter. "I believe DROP must be abolished. It was created by legislation, and it must be ended by legislation, which I will submit to City Council as soon as possible. It is time to drop DROP."

Yeah, City Council is surely going to want to go along with arresting the lining of their own pockets. This will occur shortly after pigs begin to fly. While Nutter is acting like he's trying to do the right thing, he's going to upset the Unions who pull his strings and run this town.

Nutter is lying to all of us again. He knows how much DROP cost - why do you think former Mayor Street tried to get rid of it? This is an absolute political disaster, well, it would be, if it weren't for his buddies in the Liberal Mainstream Media making it seem like it's just another day at the office.

Today, the Daily News listed all of the things that could have been done with DROP money. Why do people immediately think that when money is being spent on the wrong things, it has to be spent somewhere else? It shouldn't be spent at ALL.

DROP is such a joke and it will just be converted into some other sneaky program. This kind of stealing - worse than highway robbery - has been going on for years in Philadelphia. Why should it stop now? Why should we believe a guy who keeps public pools open and then enacts rolling closures of fire houses because he acts like a baby because he didn't get his soda tax right away?

The Nutters and Streets and Goodes and DiCiccos and Rizzos and Greens of this City need to end their Mafioso Union ties and stronghold on this City. They are killing Philadelphia, they are suffocating our personal freedoms and stealing directly from our pockets. This City is going to be Detroit in 5 or 6 years, mark my words.

Let's fix this DROP problem by cutting $258 million in City jobs. Let those people barely eat for weeks, walk around with holes in our clothing and live paycheck to paycheck like the rest of us do. Punish the people who reveled in government's malfeasance and instability. Punish the politicians who lie to our faces and say they give a damn about where the cradle of Liberty is headed.

We need Common Sense and actual opposition in this City. Badly.

Hey, Mayor, let's not stop there! Getting rid of DROP is only a DROP in the bucket! As reported here, ad infinitem, we still have to get rid of the waste, fraud and abuse that is currently business as usual; and as a result, to keep these looters in the manner to which they have become accustomed, we close essential services. Let's hold their feet to the fire (no pun intended). Audit the whole bunch, independently!

    Hey Aaron,

My dear fellow, allow me to compliment you on your outrage concerning the idiocy of using Facebook (I no longer have an account.) by His Almondjoyness, the Magnificent Mayor Nutter. (sometimes you feel like a nut!)

Further, flying bacon aside, you really need to look for the silver lining in all of this, because as you stated, this kind of 'legal graft' has been ongoing for DECADES!

    What is the 'sliver lining'?

Bottom line: between the Obamasiah's Economic/Domestic Political Policies, the unchecked spending in Congress, and Bernanke keeping the worthless paper presses running in D.C., complete, total, and unalterable Economic Collapse should occur just prior to the 2012 elections (and I mean just a few weeks before).

Martial Law will be declared by the Obamasiah, Elections will be put 'on hold' until 'the crisis is over'.....

The former 'Great Depression' will be known as 'the good ole days'.

The Body Count will be horrific.

    Cheers.

2009 and 2010 $120,000 from your tax dollars.

Philadelphia PA Mayor Nutter received two years in a row $60,000 checks to help keep open and operate the city swimming pools. These checks came from AmeriChoice Health and on the surface seems like fine gifts. Yet, they are Bribes non the less, these checks come from a company who receives all its money from the Federal Government as a vendor for Medicare Medicaid services is not allowed to offer bribes kickbacks and money gifts of any kind in order to promote its share of the market place. This is not allowed as a use of your taxpayers dollars yet it happens. What does it really cost the City of Philadelphia to receive this money? Americhoice Health has a long history of corruption over the years yet seems to be protected by those who are responsible to over see their actions why is that?

  • Medicaid Pot Beneficialies 1 year ago

14,000 New Yorkers double-dip into 'Medicaid Pot" BY Kenneth Lovett DAILY NEWS ALBANY BUREAU CHIEF Wednesday, March 4th 2009, 12:14 AM ALBANY - Nearly 14,000 Medicaid recipients in New York City are double-dipping in other states, a new report found. Florida, Puerto Rico and New Jersey had the most Medicaid recipients also enrolled in New York, an audit by state Controller Thomas DiNapoli's office revealed. The dual enrollments cost the federal, state and city governments a combined $23.5 million in Medicaid claims from April 2004 through May 2008, the audit found. While some of the claims were legitimate, DiNapoli suspects many were not. In some cases, people may have illegally used the Medicaid program in each state they were enrolled. In others, New York's more generous program might have covered costs that should have been paid for by other states, DiNapoli said. The city Human Resources Administration has not completed investigations of $11.1 million in possible inappropriate Medicaid managed care premium payments, the audit found. While the enrollees may have been getting services they were not entitled to in New York, the medical providers got the money, DiNapoli said. "The state is facing the worst fiscal crisis of our lifetime," DiNapoli said. "We can't afford to waste millions of dollars on people who don't live here." The controller said the state Department of Health

Election Year Medicaid Medicare Inducement issues left open for November not openly discussed.Politics have gone from heated to man on fire thoughts. Also the Judicial dilemmas, since all are offically allowed to bear arms again, the big city Mayors are concerned about how the poor will be able to rearm themselves, and are looking for some type of financial relief from Federal State Medicaid programs to maintain their status quo.The higher courts face tough issues this term since making honest fraud legal, there agenda now turns toward making honest kickbacks and honest bribes equally as legal. This topic remains high as a shared issue by the medicaid medicare enrollment providers since they are looking to expand inducements past the complicated pregnancy stage.

The DOJ has serious concerns that if legalized marijuana in California for medical reasons could be used as a inducement or inticement to help secure new enrollments for the Federal State Medicare Medicaid programs. The State of California is concerned that if the Feds step up their effort in killing off the marijuana crops it could cause higher tax problems that effect Medicaid currently under consideration by the State 'marijuana tax control board'. Limo drivers cancel their planned Medicaid Cuts DC rally and leave for California to protect this years crop. Wow, don't think I would like to be in Politics for this years elections. Govenor Schwarzenegger indicated that if the Tea Partys membership keeps holding their rallies at our Marijuana burning fields they will have to be taxed for their free use of inhalants, prior to having them bused back to Arizona. Senator Mccain wants the deportation of illegal Mexicans to stop immediatley claims their State has gone to POT and insists California return his landscapers at once.
