The “So God Made a Farmer” commercial didn’t offer the typical elaborate fanfare that you'd come to expect from a Super Bowl ad, but it did hit a cord in the hearts of people across the country. The Super Bowl 2013 commercials are the talk of the town today and according to Web Pro News, Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, the disappointing commercials are getting as much attention today as the ones that are deemed creative and entertaining by the viewers of last night’s big game.
The Monday after the Super Bowl is the day that the big game plays are spun into many conversations across the nation, but the commercials are also getting their fare share of talk time with folks today too.
It appears that it’s pretty much unanimous with viewers that Go Daddy’s commercials disappointed the masses this year. Go Daddy’s choice of putting the beautiful and sexy Bar Refaeli in a commercial that had her in a long wet kiss with a nerd, complete with slobbering sound effects, was not what the viewer’s expected to see.
Many reported that they found this Go Daddy commercial hard to watch. Bar Refaeli’s commercial was just one of a few that seemed to bomb out as far as Super Bowl ads go. The unexpected simple commercial that is deemed today as “So God Made a Farmer,” is the commercial of the hour, getting a lot of attention around the country.
This Dodge commercial ran in the fourth quarter of the game and it caught the eye of many. It was a story told against the backdrop of pictures with Paul Harvey’s speech to farmer’s from back in 1978 sparking the talk today around water coolers everywhere. Conversations about what it means to be a farmer are happening in work places across the country.
Tweets from regular folks and celebrities called the commercial a “brilliant use of ‘So God Made a Farmer’. This is what Gary Sinise posted on his Twitter page. He also said it was a “Great tribute to the American Farmer.”
Sinise’s tweet pretty much encompassed what the nation was saying about “So God Made a Farmer” commercial today.
