Rules and fee structure for the 2012 SCL9T season:
- All SCL9T events in 2012 will have a new, lowered entry fee of $40*. And to get an even lower entry fee, sell 10 or more raffle tickets (per event) and pay only $35. (Contact Melissa Herndon or Raquel McCluckey if you would like some raffle information and tickets sent to you. The more tickets we sell as a group...the more money goes into each and every prize fund! So...sell them to friends at your local hangout and teammates on league nights!)
*With the exception of the Hard Times tournament which will have a $30 entry fee
- We still have the 10-Ball Break and Run Pot program...and the current pot stands at $170. Tickets can be purchased at each event and are $1 each. One lucky name will be drawn at each tournament, and that player will have an opportunity to break a 10-ball rack and run as many balls as she can to earn $$$!!
- Our goal is simple this year...to get players out to support these events this year! The venues are happy to have us...but we have to show up to these events in order to keep the rooms interested in having more tournaments!!! So...mark your calendars, hit the practice tables...and get excited to come out and show the boys how we do it!!!
- As always...I like to start sign-ups in advance...so please email me and let me know which events we can expect you at.
About the So Cal Ladies 9-ball Tour:
For the past 8 years, there has been a void in women’s pool in the Southern California area. Beginning in 2010, WPBA Professional Melissa Herndon sought to revitalize this once active pool scene by creating the WPBA Sanctioned Regional Tour – The Southern California Ladies 9 Ball Tour (SCL9T). After enlisting Tiger Products as a tour Sponsor, the tour found its footing with hard work and determination.
The main mission of SCL9T is to give female players a fun and competitive outlet for their interest in pool, encouraging the next generation of women to take up the sport and promoting the growth of pocket billiards. For those seeking to build a career in pool, SCL9T allows women from our area the opportunity to qualify for the WPBA via the yearly Regional Tour Championships.
