Snowtober: Snowfall totals from record-setting East Coast snowstorm

From the mid-Atlantic to New England, a powerful storm struck the region Saturday burying it under heavy, wet snow.  The unusual October snowstorm dumped extraordinary amounts of snow across the region.

The effects of the heavy, wet snow were widespread and dramatic.  Power was knocked out to millions and three lives have been claimed as a result of the storm.  Travel across the region has been snarled and residents struggled with the extreme event.

Below are some of the latest snow totals from the National Weather Service.
