'Snowpiercer' set to open L.A. Film Festival

Bong Joon-ho’s long anticipated “Snowpiercer” has been announced as the opening night film for the 20th annual Los Angeles Film Festival.

Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, John Hurt and Octavia Spencer star in this futuristic thriller that takes place on a train that houses survivors, but separates them by class. Eventually, those of the poorer class revolt and have to battle their way through the train.

The film will premiere on Wednesday, June 11, two weeks ahead of its theatrical release on June 27. The full slate of films for the L.A. Film Fest will be released on May 6. The Fest runs from June 11 to June 19. Get all the information for the fest here.
