Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is located on Candlers Mountain Drive, above Liberty University in Lynchburg. On Oct. 5, Snowflex will celebrate the Grand Opening of their new tubing runs with a Fall Festival.
Admission for the Fall Festival is $8 per person for one hour or $20 for the entire day. Admission fees are waived for those bringing four cans of non-perishable foods for an hour or 20 cans for the entire day.
There are four new tubing runs, two located next to the beginner's slope and two beside the advanced slope. The new tubing runs will separate those who are snowtubing from skiers and snowboarders.
It's always the right season for skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing at Snowflex. The innovative, patented surface retains its shape year-round and simulates the effects of snow.
The misting system at Snowflex keeps the surface moist to maximize speed and edge control. Snowflex is safe, with extra cushioning and no holes or sharp edges on the surface.
Snowtubing is a fun activity for all ages. Kids must be 36 inches or taller to snowtube at Snowflex. Those who are 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
There are spectator seats located at both slopes. Spectators can also watch the action on the advanced slope from the upper level of the Barrick-Falwell Lodge or from the decks of the lodge.
There's plenty of action on the advanced slope as skiiers and snowboarders work to improve their skills. Skiiers and snowboarders should dress in long-sleeve shirts, pants and gloves.
Make plans now to check out the new tubing runs at the Snowflex Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5.
