Accumulating snowfall possible late tonight through tomorrow...

Snowfall around 2 to 4 inches will be likely by tomorrow afternoon. Snow will develop late tonight and last through the early part of tomorrow, before tapering to snow showers. Winds will increase to 35 mph by afternoon and evening causing snow to blow and drift. Wind chills will be below zero tomorrow evening and night as temperatures quickly fall into the teens and single digits.

The following is the seven day forecast for the Dayton metro area and a 50 mile radius around it. Other metro areas like Columbus, Cincinnati, and Portsmouth are not included. For those areas please request a separate forecast. Thanks.

Tonight 1/1 - Mostly cloudy, snow likely late. Winds Calm becoming NE 5 to 15 mph. Low 27. Chance of snow 80%. Snowfall around an inch or less.

Thursday 1/2 - Mostly cloudy, steady snow and blowing snow before noon, then scattered snow showers. Breezy with blowing snow. Winds N 10 to 20 mph, gusts to 35 mph. High 27 early falling into the upper teens by evening. Chance of snow 100%. Snowfall around 1 to 3 inches, locally higher amounts possible NW of I-71.

Thur night 1/2 - Mostly cloudy, a chance of scattered snow showers early, then partly cloudy. Winds N 10 to 20 mph. Low 6. Wind chills near -10. Chance of snow 30%.

Friday 1/3 - Mostly sunny. Winds NW 5 to 15 mph, becoming light and variable. High 16. Wind chills near -5.

Fri night 1/3 - Partly cloudy. Winds S 5 to 10 mph. Low 12.

Saturday 1/4 - Mostly sunny becoming partly sunny. High 35.

Sat night 1/4 - Mostly cloudy, light snow developing late. Low 30. Chance of rain/snow 50%.

Sunday 1/5 - Mostly cloudy, snow. High 30 early falling to near 20 by evening. Chance of snow 100%.

Sun night 1/5 - Mostly cloudy, a chance of scattered snow showers. Low 3. Chance of snow 40%.

Monday 1/6 - Partly sunny, a chance of scattered flurries. High 5.

Mon night 1/6 - Mostly clear. Low -10.
