Over the past few days a slow, but heavy snow storm blanketed several western states. Colorado and Wyoming received the worst of it with as much as three feet falling in some areas; while northern Utah has had heavy snow that comes and goes.
The Denver airport has been closed, but is expected to have all four runways up this morning, but airport officials are also expecting delays today with another foot of snow expected this afternoon. Many grade schools in Colorado were closed yesterday and again today, but the Universities are open.
Wyoming reported 70 car crashes most of which occurred on I-80 and Utah reported 50 car accidents this morning.
In Colorado, snow is expected for the rest of the day with up to a foot of snow in some areas, and a high temperature of 29 degrees. For Friday, the forecast looks clear with a high of 42 degrees.
In Utah today, the forecast is clear with a high temperature of 39 degrees. More snow showers are expected tonight and continuing throughout Friday morning, and then clearing up again Friday evening, the high on Friday is 44 degrees.
