Bar and Restaurant Snow Specials in DC!

The big snowstorm hasn't hit yet but bars and restaurants are already promoting their snow specials! If it gets as bad as they predict, call ahead to make sure they're open. And travel safe!

Alba Osteria (425 I St. NW, 202-733-4454)

If we get at least 4 inches of snow to accumulate in D.C. by 5 PM on February 13, the restaurant will offer a bottomless dinner for $35 per person. You read that right. As much food from the regular menu as you can eat. The regular a la carte menu will also be available.

Black Squirrel (2427 18th St. NW, 202-232-1011)

Half-price burgers start at noon on the 13th, if the federal government closes.

DC Reynolds (3628 Georgia Ave NW, 202-506-7178)

Get buy-one, get-one drink free if the federal government is closed Thursday.

H Street Country Club (1335 H Street NE, 202-399-4722)

Get ready for the snowstorm early and enjoy $1 Miller High Life from 5 PM to 6 PM Wednesday, February 12). Also enjoy$1 tacos all night.

Mintwood Place (1831 Columbia Road NW, 202-234-6732)

If at least 4 inches of snow have accumulated at Mintwood Place by 5 PM on February 13, the restaurant will offer its entire menu at happy hour prices all night.

The Pug (1234 H St NE)

Legend beer will be $2 between midnight and 2 AM on Thursday morning. There will be $1 off drinks if H Street NE hits six inches of snow accumulation. The Pug and its neighbor, the Queen Vic, will open at 10:30 AM on Thursday if the Federal government is closed. Thursday is the Pug's seventh anniversary, so there will be specials, plus T-shirts and sweatshirts on sale, with proceeds benefiting pancreatic cancer research.

Z-Burger (Tenleytown location, 4321 Wisconsin Ave. NW, 202-966-1999)

If the snowstorm drops at least 5 inches or more, get free regular fries on February 13 by saying the password “Let it Snow.” One per person.
