Low pressure will pass to the south of the area today as arctic air continues to spread across the region from the north. Snow will fall across the area today. Most of the snow will be light, however a few narrow bands of enhanced lake effect snow will shift eastward across northeastern Ohio today. Within these bands, heavier snow could fall.
Winds will increase today causing very low wind chills and areas of blowing and drifting snow.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy and very cold with scattered snow showers persisting along with some areas of blowing snow.
Wednesday and Wednesday night, another clipper will track across the Great Lakes and upper Ohio Valley bringing more snow to northern Ohio. Once again, amounts are expected to be fairly light.
Scattered lake effect snow showers will persist through the day Thursday.

Wednesday, mostly cloudy with snow showers likely. Highs will be around 10. Winds W 10 mph. Wind chills -10 to -20.
Wednesday night, mostly cloudy with snow showers likely. Lows around 5.
Thursday, mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Highs will be in the low teens.
Looking ahead: High pressure will briefly build across the region on Friday with partly cloudy skies expected. Highs on Friday will be in the mid to upper teens.
Another cold front will move across the state on Saturday bringing another round of snow to the area. Highs on Saturday will climb to the low to mid 20s.
Arctic air will surge back across the state on Sunday with snow showers likely. Highs on Sunday will reach the mid teens.
