Snow Patrol takes the stage

Snow Patrol

Hailing from Northern Ireland but formed while attending university in Scotland, Snow Patrol is currently touring in support of of their recent album release, A Hundred Million Suns. As probably the lesser known of the brit pop bands, Snow Patrol's music is very similar in sound and genre to such bands as Coldplay and Radiohead, although their music is a bit more focused on the piano aspect.

The turn out at The Uptown Theater was nice and large. The band tends to make a stop in Kansas City on each of their tours and leaves their audience wanting more. This night was nothing different.

The night was definitely for fans of some brit pop fun and the amazing set list contained favorites from the new album like: "Crack The Shutters" and "Take Back The City" as well as previous hits such as: "Chasing Cars" and "Chocolate."

Opening for the band were pop punk boys Plain White T's who quickly went from openers to main stream, clothing line, pop sensations.
