They're dumping tons of snow at Beeman Park in Studio City this Sunday for the third year in a row.
It's being shipped in from the mountains for the Studio City Winter Family Festival and everyone can come on down to play on it Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. presented by the Studio City Residents Association in conjunction with the Studio City Recreation Center, the Studio City Neighborhood Council and many other sponsors.
For those of you who miss the Studio City Christmas Parade down Ventura Boulevard about this time of year, this is the substitute community program, and it's a lot of fun.
See the photo gallery of the families taking out their mittens and jackets (except my nephew who's in the Adventure Time T-shirt) and making snowballs and sledding in the tons of snow.
Also see Julie White's fun video report of last year's event.
The day will feature a giant snow field with slides, music by local schools and community groups, treats from local restaurants, photos with Santa and much more. The Studio City Neighborhood Council is paying for arts and crafts supplies, they normally paid for the snow, but couldn't afford their usual $5,000 donation that comes from public tax money.
The SCRA, which makes money from the Studio City Farmers Market and resident donations, is paying for the snow and other festival events.
Radio Disney Festival of Giving asks attendees to bring donations of canned and packaged food, new and unwrapped toys, pet food and toys, new and gently used books and new and used clothing to benefit various local charities, including the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, the North Hollywood LAPD Food & Gift Drive and many more.
As the sun goes down, the Luminaria will happen at the Campo de Cahuenga from 4 to 7 p.m., which is put on by the Studio City Neighborhood Council. Click here for the 12 Reasons to go to the Luminaria.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
