Snow Fest in Hermosa Beach - December 10, 2011

Make your way to Pier Avenue in Hermosa for a snowy mountain adventure at the beach!

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce presents the 2nd Annual Snow Fest on Saturday, December 10, 2011.

Over 60 tons of the fluffy white stuff will fall on Pier Avenue this year creating an even bigger and better snow park than last year.

The festivities get underway at 12:00 pm.  Snowboarders from the Pro-Am and College circuits will show off their moves on the slope from 1:30 to 4:30 pm and kids under 15 will get a chance to go sledding for free from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

There will be a separate snow area for children under five on Pier Plaza by the Holiday Tree.

The event also features live music, games, giveaways, tree lighting and a visit from the jolly, fat man himself, Santa Claus.

Snow industry companies and sponsors, including Mammoth Mountain, Spyder Surfboards and Rockstar Energy Drink will have tents set up to showcase the newest, hottest equipment.
