Snow Day and free ice skating at the Great Park!

Yes, you heard correctly… snow is coming to Orange County! The Orange County Great Park will begin this season’s “Great Skate” with Snow Day on Saturday, January 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free and parking costs $8. Other activities will include free ice skating at the Great Skate ice rink, hockey skills games, children’s crafts, refreshments for sale, an ice skating show, and entertainment.

There’s also no need to bring sleds…the Great Park has plenty to share! Just remember to grab your mittens, dress warm, and enjoy an afternoon of fun for the entire family.

From January 30th to Feb 28th, 2010 you can ice skate for FREE at the Orange County Great Park! The best part is that skate and helmet rentals are absolutely free!

The Great Park Ice rink will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from Jan 30-Feb 28th from 11am to 10pm. Skating tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Skaters must be present to pick-up their own tickets. Advance tickets can be requested on-site at the ice rink ticket counter beginning Jan. 31st. A limited number of advance tickets will be made available on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Visitors may request up to six (6) advance tickets per household, per weekend for one skate session time only.
