Whether you love the beautiful, white snow, staying inside and drinking hot coco, baking cookies, the holidays or having outdoor snow adventures, winter can be a lovely time of the year.
Greens, pinks and oranges barely show through winter’s dust of frost and snow.
Fading colors breathe their last, as autumn yields to winters blast.
The land is bathed with a shimmering white; hush abounds as birds take flight.
Seeking warmer lands, of palms and forests and warmer sands.
Children wake to make their mark, in virgin snow untouched and stark.
The snow outside swathes trodden paths, with marbled blankets through the night.
To await the morning squeals and cheers, a brand new battleground for fresh snow fights.
These are the colors the winter brings, esteemed by all, from paupers to kings. (Author unknown)
