Snow and blowing snow continue for West Michigan

Snowfall accumulations of 3-5 inches are likely from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening across West Michigan. The heaviest snow is likely along the lakeshore south of Holland and along I-94. Accumulations for a few locations in these areas could top out near 8 inches. A strong wind from the northwest will cause blowing and drifting of the snow making travel difficult. The Grand Rapids National Weather Service continues the Winter Weather Advisory for counties along the lakeshore and the counties along and south of I-96 until 5 PM Wednesday.

More snow and lake effect snow will impact West Michigan for Saturday with additional accumulations and travel headaches.

Bitter air invades the Great Lakes today. Highs stay in the teens and lower 20s on Wednesday and Thursday with lows on Thursday morning dipping into the single numbers. Wind chill readings will likely fall below zero Thursday morning.
