Children snorting Smarties in Rhode Island have been warned that the new craze could have some disgusting side effects, The Daily Mail reported on Jan. 21.

According to the report, children have been crushing the candy and snorting it up their noses, imitating cocaine users seen on television.

These children who’ve been snorting Smarties, and their parents, have now been warned of the skin crawling consequences.

Nasal maggots, internal bleeding, and lung infections could all occur if these children don’t stop snorting Smarties immediately.

The craze, which has also been sweeping YouTube has very dangerous, and gross side effects, and parents should warn their children of the icky consequences that could occur if they begin snorting the little sweet tart candies.

Videos of people (Mostly young people) have been on YouTube since 2007, but the trend seems to be growing in popularity now, making the side effects known to children could help stop the spread of this dangerous behavior.
