Everyone is blogging and chatting on the internet about how Snoop Dogg says dealing with his young daughter’s lupus helped save his marriage, but it is also nice to hear that Snoop and his wife are now supporting the Lupus Foundation and other causes for lupus and bringing awareness to this auto-immune disease. A recent article was written in People Magazine about Snoop and his family. Lupus is a condition found high among African-American women in the U.S. Chicago’s own south suburb of Ford Heights has a high number of Lupus cases among black women.
Snoop’s daughter, young Cori was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder in 2005. She is now 11.
Snoop (real name Calvin Broadus) explains, "My daughter is the love of my life. When she'd lay in bed saying, 'My brain hurts', it bothered me so much. I felt helpless... (But) she's the toughest little thing I've ever met, even with the needles."
And Cori has managed to keep her lupus under control to enjoy a normal childhood. Her proud father adds, "She's on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning lupus was winning. But now Cori is."
People have been successful managing their lupus with lifestyle changes and holistic measures. One herbalist in the Chicago area, Medina J. Nance, host of local TV show Herban Renewal was able to reverse her lupus through colon cleansing and taking supplements which includes B-Complex, Probiotic Eleven, Nature’s Sea Calcium, Flax Seed Oil and VitaWave liquid multi-vitamins by Nature Sunshine Products.

I hadn't heard this before, and wish all of them well.
Hmmm great to have a celebrity endorsement... one who has been touched by the disease.
I love Snoop and am sad to hear that his daughter has lupus. However, it's great to hear how well she is handling her condition, how it has brought the family together and how they are working with the Lupus Foundation to help others with this debilitating disease.
