Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi feels fantastic after maintaining her 50-pound weight loss for over six months, and said she'll never become anorexic again because of her son.
Polizzi, who battled anorexia during high school, said she plans to continue with her healthy diet and workout regimen so she can remain a healthy mom.
''This is the best I've ever treated my body," Snooki told Life & Style Jan. 13. "[Anorexia] has been on my mind though.
"Even before I started losing weight, I was like, 'I hope I don't go back to not eating again.' But I'm never going back to anorexia again. I don't want Lorenzo to see me go through that. It's not going to happen.''
The 4-foot-9 Polizzi, who once tipped the scales at 146 pounds, lost 50 pounds just 11 months after giving birth to son Lorenzo (in August 2012) by following a 1,200-calorie-a-day diet and working out five to seven days a week.
Snooki, who now weighs a healthy 96 pounds, said her weight dropped to an anemic 80 pounds at the height of her anorexia.
''I became anorexic because of cheer-leading," she said. "I wanted to be light so people could throw me up in the air. I got to the point where I only ate ice cubes, all day, for days in a row.''
Polizzi eventually overcame her eating disorder with the help of her parents, but then became overweight and unhealthy after binge-drinking and eating an all-junk-food diet while filming the "Jersey Shore." Polizzi's weight then fluctuated dramatically until she got pregnant.
During her pregnancy and after she became a mom, Snooki made a concerted effort to eat well, exercise regularly and cut back on drinking and partying. Polizzi discussed her post-baby weight loss, and how she juggles motherhood with TV stardom in her new book Baby Bumps: From Party Girl to Proud Mama.
Snooki is now fitter and happier than ever and has no plans to give up her health-conscious lifestyle. "I feel healthy," she said. "I like everything [about my looks now]. I'm always in a good mood and I feel like that's just because I feel great about myself."
