"Jersey Shore" star Snooki is the latest celebrity to jump on the bangs bandwagon. The MTV reality star chopped bangs and bagged her red "mermaid hair" for a color closer to her natural look. The MTV reality star showed off pictures of her new hairstyle today (Thursday) on her official blog.

Snooki admits she loved her red hair, but it was just too high maintenance for her as a busy working mom. "RIP mermaid hair," the 25 year old mom said, "...Running around with Lorenzo and working, it’s just too hard to maintain the red color every 2 weeks!"
Snooki swapped out her bright locks for a deep black, but still kept a hint of the red with some extensions. "I love changing my look. So RIP RED, hello sexy black!"

Along with the new color, Snooki's stylist also cut her bangs and framed her face with some layers. Snooki's bangs follow Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, and Kim and Kourtney Kardashian who've all sported the popular style this year.
