Don't mistake Snooki's latest weight loss secret. The "Jersey Shore" star hasn't slimmed down thanks to the previously-touted HCG diet or consumption of the Cookie Diet. Lately, Snooki's biggest weight loss secret is a high-dose of caffiene found in a small pill, weight loss product called "Zantrex." It's also her latest paid gig.
SNOOKI CONFESSES TO BEING PAID BY ZANTREX
"Glad to hear reports that say I look good," Snooki tweeted. "But it's not because of HCG! Thanks @Zantrex!" Reports blew up crediting Zantrex with Snooki's weight loss, but the MTV reality TV star soon fessed up to being paid to hawk the pill on Twitter and for photos featured in celebrity gossip magazines, like Star (see ad here).
SNOOKI: "YES, I AM A PAID SPOKESPERSON FOR ZANTREX"
"One of my followers asked if I was a paid spokesperson for zantrex," Snooki tweeted in truth. "…yes haven’t you seen the ads in Star?"
ZANTREX BOTTLE STRATEGICALLY PLACED IN PHOTOS
The diet pill partnership with Snooki (aka Nicole Polizzi) is strikingly similar to the weight loss pill endorsement by Kim and Khloe Kardashian with QuickTrim. Neither diet pill is FDA-approved but both are being sold to consumers via celebrity endorsements. Specifically with Snooki, the Zantrex-branded, bright red pill bottle is strategically positioned in Twitter pics, paparazzi photos and in interview film shots.
OTHER CELEBRITIES TURNING TO ZANTREX FOR WEIGHT LOSS
Snooki isn't the first celeb to "turn to Zantrex," according to the company's press release, issued soon after Snooki's Zantrex tweet confession. According to the hardline, Britney Spears used the caffiene weight loss pill to shrink down in 2003, after conveniently dropping the bottle at an airport in London.
