The second Jersey Shore spinoff series - this one about Snooki and JWoWW - will begin filming this month. Snooki previously confirmed the cameras would begin rolling in January 2012 although it's unclear exactly when.
We do have a few solid hints pointing to the production schedule for Snooki and JWoWW's show, however. The entire Jersey Shore cast will be in Los Angeles between January 5-7, 2012 to film the Jersey Shore Season 5 Reunion and After Hours specials - so we know production can't start until after that. On January 28 Snooki is bankrolling a boxing card for a fight in New Jersey which definitely sounds like reality tv material to us! In other words, it's likely production on Snooki and JWoWW's show will begin in mid to late January. But we'll know for sure when the usually Twitter-happy girls (especially Snooki) go silent on the social networking site.
The producers of Jersey Shore, 495 Productions, are also producing JWoWW and Snooki's show, as well as Pauly D's spinoff. Production on Pauly's show wrapped in mid December so production crews are now available to move onto their next big project.
The show's executive producer, SallyAnn Salsano calls the new show about Snooki and JWoWW 'hysterical' with a 'Laverne & Shirley' feel. "We just want to branch off on our own and we want to do our own thing and we’re excited about it so I’m excited to show all the fans how we are without the shore," Snooki is quoted as saying.
Snooki and JWoWW's show will premiere on MTV in 2012. The network has not confirmed a date yet, but it's likely to closely follow Pauly D's show which is set to begin in March 2012.
Jersey Shore Season 5 premieres January 5, 2012 on MTV.
