The SNL Tiger Woods skit has sparked controversy as the show’s guest host, Rihanna is a victim of domestic violence. The skit depicted an angry Elin Nordegren Woods giving Tiger Woods a behind-the-scenes thrashing due to his illicit activities. The skit was well received and Googlers searched for the skit throughout the day. However, though it appears to be funny, some say that domestic violence is no laughing matter.
Rihanna was scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards on February 8, 2009. The performance was cancelled and it was later determined that Rihanna had been the victim of a brutal assault, inflicted by her then boyfriend, Chris Brown. Chris Brown turned himself in to police the same day and was charged on March 5, 2009. Chris Brown pleaded guilty on June 22, 2009 and underwent domestic violence counseling. Chris Brown states that he takes full responsibility for the attack on Rihanna.
Was the skit in poor taste? Did SNL overstep the bounds of decency and respect for Rihanna in attempts to get a laugh on the Tiger Woods incident?
We conducted a poll last week, regarding whether or not people felt that Tiger Woods was the victim of domestic violence. There are currently 916 votes counted and 77% of those said yes. Even though alleged mistresses have been coming out of the woodwork that would not give anyone the right to abuse another. If Elin Nordegren was the cause of Tiger Woods’ injuries, as many suspect, she should have been charged with a crime, not become the subject of an SNL skit where the public laughs at domestic violence. Rihanna has not at this time released a statement regarding the skit or her feelings about it.

It's comedy people. Lighten up. It's not even certain whether his wife attacked him.

S.N.L. is a comedy show boys and grls, don't get your panties in a bunch ! ! If the man can't keep his man-hood in his pants and under control, well that's between he and his family, but S.N.L. was just a spoof and nothing more then to make people laugh like they have for years.
I thought the skit was funny considering what you see and hear every time you turn on your computer or TV. Even the savior obama has been poked at on SNL. Lighten up everyone
