"The Tizzle Wizzle Show": Best sketch of SNL's 35th season?
The following "Digital Short" from this past week's episode of "Saturday Night Live" (both of which featured James Franco in the host spot) is easily one of the more creative, disturbing, and hilarious sketches we've seen from the show all season long. Somehow, this clip eluded us since it aired, but now that we've seen it, we are obligated-- simply by its greatness-- to pass it along to you, the gentle Examiner readers...
"The Tizzle Wizzle Show" from this week's SNL (it was the "Digital Short" for the week, continuing the trend of the "Digital Short" being the highlight of the broadcast; hey, Lorne Michaels, when ya gonna give Samberg and Co. their own show?) is one of the funniest sketches we've seen from SNL all season. Dig it:
If you didn't enjoy "The Tizzle Wizzle Show", we don't know what to tell you. Sure, it seems like some might find it a bit disturbing, but-- and we're saying this for the millionth time this year-- as we all know by now, comedy's subjective. Our favorite part in the whole thing? When the "light sticks" come out at the end. You're thinking, "What the hell are those things?", and right when the lights go off, the horror of the situation sinks in. Absolutely hilarious. Great work, SNL. Now if you can just keep it up.
