Sunday, Saturday Night Live (SNL) pulled all copies of the Brittany Murphy video skit shown two weeks ago on SNL. The skit aired Abby Elliott impersonating Brittany Murphy stumbling onto the mock news 'Weekend Update' segment.
In light of Brittany Murphy’s recent death, the video has been removed from Hulu, Youtube, and NBC websites and is being removed from all websites. A short statement comes up where the video used to be that reads: Unfortunately, this video is no longer available.
The SNL skit made fun of Murphy's exit from the movie "The Caller."
"It was reported this week that actress Brittany Murphy was fired from her upcoming film, ‘The Caller,' for being a detriment to production," said "Weekend Update" anchor Seth Meyers.
"And ... oh noooo," he said as she appeared next to him.
"I'm really honored to be here hosting ‘Saturday Night Live,'" said an out of sorts Elliot, who was playing Murphy.
"No, Brittany, you're not hosting," Meyers said.
Murphy said that she was fired, and told Meyers that it's not so bad.
"I got a plan," she says. "When the movie comes out, I'm going to go to the theater and say, ‘Booooo." And then the audience will join in and say, ‘Boo' … Best plan ever."
Meyers, responds, "I wouldn't call that the best plan ever."
