'Sniper Elite V2' getting official Nintendo Wii U port, GamePad support included

Nintendo Wii U owners have seen a rush of games released to keep them occupied with their new system, and there's plenty on the horizon for those that are starting to get bored. For those older gamers looking for something more then Mario, you now how "Sniper Elite V2" to set your sights on.

The game originally launched for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 last year to mixed reviews and decent sales. The game puts you in the shoes of an American officer tasked with capturing or eliminate the scientists involved in the German V-2 during World War 2.

The Nintendo Wii U port will use the GamePad to help track bad guys, mark areas of the map that are booby-trapped and help you find the best area to shoot from in the game. Rebellion, developer of the game says it'll drop more information later on this month, and event hinted there could be a zombie mode in the game.

There's no word on a release date for "Sniper Elite V2" for the Wii U outside of Spring. Still, it's easy to get excited at the idea of another adult title with zombies on the Wii U.
