Sniper Elite V2 Game of the Year Edition announced

The Sniper Elite V2 Game of the Year Edition (listed as the Silver Star Edition on Amazon) was announced by 505 Games and Rebellion today.

Priced at just $29.99, the Silver Star Edition includes the game and all of the previously released downloadable content including Assassinate the Führer, Neudorf Outpost, Saint Pierre the Multiplayer Expansion pack, and the Weapons Pack DLC. The downloadable content alone would normally cost 1,840 Microsoft Points (or $23) to download on Xbox LIVE which means you are basically getting the game for $7. Not a bad deal. In total, you are getting four new game modes, nine new maps (six multiplayer / three single player), and ten extra weapons.

Sniper Elite V2 got pretty mixed reviews from critics when it was released last year. The Xbox 360 version of the game currently holds an 67 aggregate review score on Metacritic. The PS3 version faired slightly better with a 70.

The Silver Star edition is currently available to pre-order and will be released later this month on March 26th. It is available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
