Sneds is back!

2012 FedEx Cup Champion Brandt Snedeker will make his return after a month of resting and recuperating a rib injury. Despite not playing the past weeks Snedeker maintains the 2013 FedEx Cup points lead, owing to his strong second-place finishes at Torrey Pines, TPC-Scottsdale, and of course his win at Pebble Beach. It will be interesting to see if Snedeker can slide back into the hot streak of golf he was on since winning the FedEx Cup.

Snedeker voiced his confidence in his abilities this week, “My golf game feels like it is kind of where it was.” Regarding the injury possibly affecting play this week Snedeker has, “no concern, whatsoever,” and “feel[s] completely healthy.”

Many will be watching Tiger Woods, as he attempts eight wins at the same event, a record Sam Snead accomplished at the Greater Greensboro Open. Woods is starting hot this season with a win at Torrey Pines and a win at Doral, and certainly seems poised for victory again, despite some lackluster finishing holes.

Vijay Singh will also continue his 2013 season, with the public, players, and likely the man himself, in a quagmire of anticipation for what actions the PGA Tour will take regarding his use of a banned substance.

Locals Charley Hoffman, Nick Watney, Ryan Moore, and Scott Piercy will also be teeing it up at Bay Hill at 7:42 am, 8:16, 8:51, and 12:56 pm, respectively.
